Mumbai police have tied up with MTNL to provide a new helpline no(applicable only in Mumbai) for women in distress(in addition to 103 and 100). This is mainly for women travelling in taxi/autos and those stranded in secluded spots. SMS registration no of auto taxi on 9969777888. they have also released handbooks to help women know and understand their rights!
